The fine mist from the spray can easily enter the eyes, making it unsafe for lash applications. The eye area is extremely sensitive, and using the Airbrush for lashes could lead to irritation or even serious complications.

Real Talk: How long do Airbrush Brows actually last?

Let’s get into the real question on every Brow Artist’s mind - how long do Airbrush Brows last? The answer? It really depends. Here’s what plays a role:

1. Skin type matters - a lot!

The biggest factor in how long Airbrush Brows last is your client’s skin type. Alejandra shared her experience with us:

• Oily skin? The tint tends to fade faster because of the natural oils breaking down the pigment. Airbrush Brows can last 4-5 days on oily skin.
• Dry or normal skin? Lucky for them (and you!), the tint sticks better and lasts longer, up to 8 days on the skin.
• Combination skin? It depends on which areas are oilier—usually, the center of the brows fades faster. But it can also last up to 8 days on the skin.

Although the type of skin, Airbrush Brows will always last up to 6 weeks on the brow hairs!

2. Pre-Care: The foundation for long-lasting brows

What happens before the treatment is just as important as what happens after

• Exfoliate? Yes, but gently! A light exfoliation a day before helps remove dead skin, allowing the dye to adhere better. Recommend to your clients to use Prep Peel Gel with 4% AHA to prep their brows.
• No oils or creams! The brows should be completely clean and oil-free before applying the Airbrush Eyebrow Dye. Any residue can block the tint from properly absorbing into the skin.
• Skip heavy makeup near the brows before the appointment - foundation and skincare products can create a barrier. But don’t worry if your client comes with very heavy makeup - you can easily remove everything with the Pro Cleanser.
  

3. Aftercare: More important than your clients think

Aftercare plays a big role in the longevity of Airbrush Brows! Here’s what clients should never do after their treatment:

🚫 No water or steam for at least 24 hours
🚫 No scrubbing, exfoliating, or using oily products on the brows
🚫 No harsh cleansers - stick to gentle face washing
🚫 Not overly touch the brows - this will make the stain fade more quickly.

Pro Tip from Alejandra: “A great tip to extend their longevity is to advise your client not to rub their brows when washing or removing makeup. It’s also best to avoid using overly greasy products on the forehead area to help the tint stay on the skin longer.”

4. Your technique & skill level

How you apply the eyebrow dye onto the brows using the Airbrush makes all the difference. If you want the best retention, focus on:

• Layering: Thin, even layers are key! Let each layer dry before adding another for better adhesion and longer wear.
• Precision: Avoid oversaturating the skin—too much product can cause the tint to peel off too soon.
• Airbrush distance: Spraying from the right distance (about 3–5 cm away) prevents excess product buildup.

PRO TIP: Use Nourishing Defense Balm to protect the skin around the brows. It nourishes the skin while you spray and makes it super easy to remove excess dye once you're done.
