What is a Lash Lift?

A Lash Lift is simply a beauty treatment that reshapes your client’s natural lashes, creating a long-lasting curl and a more open-eye look without the use of extensions. Imagine waking up with curled lashes and no need for mascara. Yes, that’s the power of a Lash Lift - and exactly why people are loving it all around the world.

Korean Lash Lift vs. Lash Lift

Let’s go straight to the point and highlight the key difference!

Korean Lash Lifts put lash health and safety first. With less adhesive and a softer curl approach, lashes stay flexible and the results can last up to 8 weeks or longer.

Traditional Lash Lifts are also safe, but the main focus is on creating a bold, defined and long-lasting curl in the most effective way possible - perfect for clients who love a more dramatic look.

Benefits of a Korean Lash Lift

Why are more clients asking for the Korean Lash Lift? It comes down to results and lash health. Here are the key benefits:

  • Healthier for lashes → The gentle formula and minimal glue make it safer compared to traditional lash lift methods.
  • Stronger and neater lift → Creates a clean, defined curl while keeping the lashes flexible and glossy.
  • Works on stubborn or short lashes → The technique and shield variety (M1, M2, L) ensure even the most challenging lashes can be lifted beautifully.
  • Minimal aftercare → Clients love that it’s low-maintenance, requiring only basic care in the first 24–48 hours.
  • Cleaner grow-out → Lashes grow out more evenly and naturally, avoiding that uneven “drop” effect.

Why is Korean Lash Lift a trend?

As you’ve probably noticed, health and wellness are the biggest drivers in beauty right now. That's why the Korean Lash Lift perfectly fits this movement, as it’s all about a gentle approach.

Clients are also paying closer attention to safety and comfort. With the Korean method, the focus is on lash health, minimal adhesive use, and a nourishing finish - making the treatment not only effective but also a relaxing and reassuring experience.

Korean Lash Lift using Supercilium

Hope you’re excited - because you can easily create a Korean Lash Lift using the Lamination Kit ! Before we dive into the full step-by-step, here are the key adjustments that make the look:

  • Choose softer lash shields  → Reach for M1, M2, or L sizes to achieve that subtle, natural curl that defines the Korean style.
  • Use less glue → Traditionally, Korean lash lifts avoid adhesive altogether. With Supercilium, our gentle, water-based glue (with ingredients like Aqua, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Castor Oil, and Glycerin) allows you to secure lashes while keeping them flexible and conditioned. Just apply the thinnest layer possible.
  • Prioritize nourishment → Always complete with Step 3 Elixir , ensuring the lashes are hydrated, glossy, and protected after treatment.

Vegan & Cruelty Free Lamination Kit

The Supercilium Lamination Kit is vegan, cruelty-free, and made with lash-loving ingredients that align perfectly with the gentle philosophy of a Korean Lash Lift:

  • Step 1 - Relaxing Solution → Uses a milder active (ethanolamine thioglycolate) paired with cocoa seed butter, glycerin, niacinamide, biotin, and plant proteins (rice, wheat, soy) to reshape while keeping lashes nourished and flexible.
  • Step 2 - The Laminate → Gently fixes the curl with hydrogen peroxide and softening agents like cetearyl alcohol, ensuring lashes hold their new shape without stiffness.
  • Step 3 - Nourishing Elixir → Packed with aloe vera, chamomile, rosemary, apricot extract, panthenol, hyaluronic acid, and proteins to deeply hydrate, soothe, and protect lashes after the lift.

How to do Korean Lash Lift (Step-by-step)

Now that you know what makes the Korean Lash Lift different, let’s walk through exactly how to create it using the Lamination Kit and our new 5 shield sizes ↗ (S, M, M1, M2, L).

Pro tip: Yes - you read correctly. We listened to our community and created NEW lash shields! They are much more sticky & flexible than ever before.

Step 1: Prep Your Client

Start by cleansing the lashes using Foam Cleanser and the lid area thoroughly to remove any makeup, oil, or residue. Apply under-eye pads to isolate the lower lashes.

Pro Tip: Always start by cleaning the eye area with our Foam Cleanser. While the Pro Cleanser is a superhero for preparing skin and brows, the Foam Cleanser was developed to be extra gentle and alcohol-free - making it the perfect choice for lashes.

Step 2: Select the Right Shield

This is where you create the Korean Lash Lift! Use our brand new and super sticky Lash Shields ↗.

Each pack includes S, M, M1, M2, and L - giving you the flexibility to work with any lash type or style preference:

S → Short lashes / tighter curl
M → Short–medium lashes / balanced curl
M1 → Medium lashes / natural “K-beauty” curl (most popular)
M2 → Medium–long lashes / extra-soft, subtle lift
L → Long lashes / the softest curl with maximum length

Pro Tip: For the signature Korean look, stick to M1, M2, or L.

Step 3: Bond the Lashes

Using our gentle, water-based glue (with lash-friendly ingredients like Aqua, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Castor Oil, and Glycerin), apply the thinnest layer possible. Brush lashes onto the shield in small sections, making sure they are perfectly straight and parallel.

Step 4: Apply Step 1 – Relaxing Solution

Apply from the root to mid-lengths, avoiding the tips. Processing times:
  • Very fine lashes 4-5 minutes
  • Fine or tinted lashes 5-6 minutes
  • Natural healthy lashes 6-8 minutes
  • Course healthy lashes 8-10 minutes
Gently remove the product with dry cotton swabs.

Pro Tip: Since the Korean Lash Lift is all about being gentle, always stick to the lower end of processing times to keep lashes soft, flexible, and healthy.

Step 5: Apply Step 2 – The Laminate

Apply to the same area as Step 1 and leave for the same processing time. Remove thoroughly.

Step 6: Add Keratin with Liquid Dye

A classic Korean Lash Lift often includes a keratin infusion to keep lashes strong, shiny, and flexible. With Supercilium, you can achieve the same effect by using our Liquid Dye with Keratin while the shields are still on. Wanna know the exact steps? Learn here here how to combine Lamination and hybrid dye ↗.

Pro Tip: For the perfect lash tint, mix Black and Ash Grey. This combo gives depth and definition while keeping the tone soft and natural with cool tones.

Step 7: Apply Step 3 – Nourishing Elixir

This step hydrates, conditions, and softens the lashes. It also helps release them gently from the shield. Brush through the lashes and check for symmetry.
