Wait… What’s the Golden Ratio?
The Golden Ratio is a beauty principle that helps you create brows in perfect harmony with your client’s facial features. It’s all about balance and proportion - and when you apply it during Brow Mapping, you’re designing a shape that enhances the natural bone structure instead of just guessing.
So, what does that mean in practice?
Measuring always starts from the side of the nostril and the small dip on your nose wing. From there, you draw a straight line to different points:
- Start of the eyebrow: From the small dip of your nostril straight upwards.
- Arch – the highest point of the eyebrow: From the side of your nostril, through the middle of the iris, upwards (make sure your client is looking straight ahead).
- End of the eyebrow: From the side of your nostril to the outer corner of the eye.
This technique gives you clear reference points so your mapping is more than just guesswork - it’s guided by structure, and science.
