How to achieve maximum pigment out of your henna

We've all seen those perfectly in line, bold, color oozing out of the hairs, carved out for the Gods brows. A common question we seem to receive, however, is how to achieve the maximum pigment out of our Supercilium Brow Henna. The trick, is actually quite simple! It's all about your technique and a common step that people don't always take--the stamping/pressing into the skin throughout several layers. Read on to see exactly what we mean.

Multiple layers of stamping into the skin

Supercilium Brow Henna

This is what the brows should look like when you press the henna into the skin for its first layer. You don't just call it a day or top it with more immediately. Wait a minute or two before giving it a nice second layer. In this example we are using one of our most popular colors, Medium Brown, for reference.

Layer # 2

Supercilium Brow Henna

Second layer should be looking something like this. Thicker, bolder, and more prominent. Like the first time around, wait a minute for it to absorb into the hairs and skin and make sure to stamp/press it deeply into the skin for it to stain both skin and hairs. Then, (depending on client and personal preference as well as color) you will repeat with a third round.

Layer #3

Supercilium Brow Henna

This time around looks nice and defined. The pigment is rich, seeping and much bolder than layer #1. At this point, we have removed the inner brow henna for a more natural ombre look and left the tail and mid brow on to develop further. This is your and your clients preference, of course.

And there you have it! Results are below, easy as pie!
